Basicly no info on Weekins in available and I only sumbled upon it one day, years ago, when searching for other N64 games.
James Mestemaker who worked on the game had the following to add.
 |
I was working for SuperHappyFunFun. We never got a publisher and it
was cancelled because we could not fund it anymore.
It was a 3d Mario-like cartoon adventure game that allowed you to
choose a boy or girl character. Along your journey a Weekin (small
blue guy) would follow and help you battle. You could call him to you and
use your combined powers to do special moves. You could swing him around
to do radial damage or use him a battering ram for move boxes or break
things. You could use lot of the environmental objects or static creatures
by knocking enemies into them. You also had a transforming power glove
that could freeze (then you could break enemies into ice chunks), you
could light enemies on fire (and they turned into ash), or use the sword.
It was only prototype (less than a year in dev). No press. SuperHappy is
still around, they do Iphone games now.
