NEW HANDHELD FAMICOM
|
26 JULY 2003 - 17:35 CET
|
Hmmm it's been 3 days since the last update? Oh well, here's some great news for you all. While browsing around on
gamechoiceclub.com, I stumbled upon something called the Game Theory Admiral,
what a stupid name, but anyway, this thing is nothing less than a new handheld Famicom, made by a company called Mystery,
truely a mystery who they are as I've never heard or seen that name anywhere before.
The GTA (Game Theory Admiral) is shaped more or less like a Nintendo GBA, and to be able to actually play Famicom games, you
actually need to use an adapter, which is included, as the cartridge slot is GBA size. It can be connected to a TV with
an AV cable, also included.
For $65 + shipping this baby is yours, mine is already on it's way... Also, I don't think you should wait for the SP
edition, this one is already backlit ;-)
UPDATE: FYI the blue version has PAL video output while the pink colored GTA has NTSC output. Also, a new adapter is
supposedly being released later on, so you can use NES cart without the need to attach even another adapter to the
Famicom one.

Unreleased Games' page just yet, there are still things that needs to be ironed out regarding
some never before known games, and I don't want to see it slip out of my hands. But anyway, here's
a small teaser to let you know what to expect. ( check ).

TIMES CHANGE AT NES WORLD, WELL THE IMAGES DO
|
10 JULY 2003 - 19:30 CET
|
I'm sorry but I need to do a bit of serious talking here. It has come to my attention that extensive use of NES WORLDs
archive of pictures has been going on on another website, without permission or the usual internet way of at least
giving to the site the pictures were talken from.
To stop this stupidity and protect the content of the site, not to mention my hours of work, every image scanned by me
personally will be watermarked from now on, those I have not scanned myself will of course remain unmarked, and with proper
credit, I hope, to their authors. I hate watermarks as I believe they ruin the picture(s), but I can't just sit back and
watch my work being stolen, I take my website seriously, sometimes too seriously, but this is the only way to protect
myself from these ripoffs, unless the moron wants pictures marked NES WORLD all over his site :)
That all for now, but expect the first few articles with watermarked pictures later tonight, and again, I'm truly sorry I
have to do this, but I'm just tired of seeing whole sections of my site used elsewhere.
Thanks for your understanding...

DATA EAST BANKRUPT
|
9 JULY 2003 - 22:40 CET
|
Yesterday we received the news that Data East Corporation had gone bankrupt late June. While itx didn't disturb many to
see them go, to me it's always sad when an old software developer, especially the ones known from the NES days, closes their
doors, booohooo. I've written a small page about Data East and stolen some pictures from The Warp Zone, hope TRM doesn't
mind, I did mail him though. ( check ).
