NROM replacement
03. Sep 2006 at 15:12

Hey dudes! I just opened a Gyromite cart to see if it had a converter in there...but I wasn't lucky.
After it was opened and I saw NROM standing on the board...I started thinking "why not desolder the PRG rom and replace it with an EPROM with a game on there.
Now I was wondering if some modification needed to be done.
Some rewire-ing or such.
Since the Eprom I'm gonna use is 32 pins, my guess is I have to do that.
Can anyone help me a little?

Let's start by finding out what games I can put on there.
I allready have Mario Bros so don't say that Tongue
I was looking at Megaman, but I'm not sure if that's suitable.
Then I was thinking Mach Rider cause I know that one can be put on there.
But now I have to know what pin of the ROM goes to what hole on the board.

mach rider would work.  it would be a hell of a lot easier if you just bought 28 pin roms for that project, no wiring involved.
